If you're casually browsing or looking for zines on a particular topic, try browsing by keyword. Like a search engine, the keyword list helps you find zines by showing a list of words and phrases that are the topics of the zines in the list. Student's History of American Literature. A Student's History of American Literature by Edward Simonds features an online text of American literature divided into historical periods for grades 9-12. Web-O-Pedia. Web-O-Pedia, an online searchable computer encyclopedia from Mecklermedia Corporation, provides accurate, up-to-date information about personal computers. The site, suitable for grades 7-12, also include the features, the Term of the Day and the Top 15 Terms.

Webster's Online Dictionary. Webster's Online Dictionary (Hypertext Webster Gateway), for grades 3-12, connects you to an an easy-to-use, online dictionary to look up the meanings of words, and a thesaurus to find words with similar meanings.

WordNet 1.6. WordNet 1.6, created by Princeton University's Cognitive Science Laboratory, is a lexical English database containing a powerful search tool. For example, enter "intelligent" to find the different meanings of this adjective and at the same time, you can also search for its synonyms, its antonnyms, and its related phrases. The dictionary is suitable for grades 6-12.

Wordsmyth English Dictionary - Thesaurus. The Wordsmyth, developed at the University of Chicago, is an online English dictionary with a list of over 50,000 words and an integrated, built-in thesaurus. The site is suitable for grades 7-12.
